Requirements
Tourist & Business
- Valid Passport (Valid for at least 6 Months from date of issue with 2 back to back open pages )
- Two clear colour photo’s with white background (No smiling or spectacles allowed
- Copy of South African ID document
- Original work or Residence permit for South Africa for Non-South African Passport holders
TWP Visa (Temporary Work Permit)
- Valid Passport (Valid for at least 6 Months from date of issue with 2 back to back open pages )
- Two clear colour photo’s with white background (No smiling or spectacles allowed
- Copy of South African ID document
- Original work or Residence permit for South Africa for Non-South African Passport holders
- Copy of Telegram (Telefax) from Immigration Headquarter in Abuja Nigeria. (A Cablegram can only be used once and must be used within 3 Months from date of issue)
- Letter of Invitation
- Certificate of Incorporation
- Copy of host’s Nigerian Passport
STR (Subject to Regulations)
- Valid Passport (Valid for at least 6 Months from date of issue with 2 back to back open pages )
- Two clear colour photo’s with white background (No smiling or spectacles allowed
- Copy of South African ID document
- Original work or Residence permit for South Africa for Non-South African Passport holder
- Copy of inviting person’s Passport
- Letter of Invitation (Addressed to the Nigerian High Commission in Pretoria)
- Certificate of Incorporation
- Expatriate Quota
- Certified Expatriate Quota ( Certified by the Ministry of Interior )
- Application form IMM 22 (Click here)
- The offer of Employment and Employee contract
- Acceptance Letter from the applicant
- The CV (Curriculum Vitae)
- Certified Credentials
- Stamped Quarter Return Table for the company in Nigeria
All documents should be in copies of 4
Documents should be addressed to the Nigerian High Commission in Pretoria
Important note
- South African Passport holder does require a Visa for Nigeria

Business Visa – 3 to 5 Working days
TWP Visa – 3 to 5 Working days
STR Visa – 4 to 6 Weeks (Should all document be accepted and the Embassy do not request any additional info.
