Requirements                         

General Requirements

  • Clearly and completely filled in and signed the application form.

• Original Passport
  • Passport must be valid for a period of at least 3 months beyond the applicant`s last day of stay in Ukraine and not older than 10 years.
  • Please ensure that the passport has 2 blank pages to affix visa.
• Photo’s
  • Two recent passports sized photographs (colour, 3×4 centimeters).
  • The traveler must be clearly identifiable from the picture on the passport photo.
• Proof of sufficient funds
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the duration of stay Bank statement of the last 3 months
  • Letter of Good Standing from the applicant’s bank or
  • Letter from the company in Ukraine stating all costs will be paid for
• Travel insurance
  • Travel/health/accident insurance: A one-page document issued by the insurance company/bank stating that the applicant is covered by a Travel Medical Insurance.
• Accommodation
  • Confirmation of reservation or payment of accommodation
• Travel Itinerary or ticket
  • Proof of return air ticket or onward journey.
• Proof the passenger is leaving Ukraine prior to the expiry of the visa
  • real estate documents, family relations, confirmation of employment etc)
• Proof of employment
  • Letter from the company stating wages, continuing employment after the period of leave and duration of vacation etc).
  • If the applicant is a student: letter from school/college/university confirming attendance.

Additional Requirements for Business Visa

• Only original invitation of an established type issued in the applicant`s name by Immigration Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the area where the private legal entity is registered; or official letter of invitation from the Ukrainian government institution, state organization or company.
• The invitation should be on a letterhead of the government institution, organization or state-owned company, stamped and signed, as well as state full name of the applicant, term and purpose of journey, or document certifying the registration of the foreign investment into the Ukrainian economy in foreign currency in the amount no less than USD50 000.

Additional Requirements for homestay visit:

• Original invitation of an established type issued in the applicant`s name by Immigration Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the area where the inviting person permanently resides.

Additional Requirements for conferences:

• Proof of registration and payment.
• Or document certifying that the applicant is a co-founder of a joint venture or a representative of a legal entity and is entering Ukraine for signed contracts monitoring.
• For representatives of Mass Media: Letter of the Chief Officer of the Mass Media addressed to the Embassy.

For tourism:

• Confirmed hotel reservation is requested.
• In the case of a pre-paid tour, please provide details of the tour with proof of payment to the tour operator either Ukrainian or foreign.

Additional Requirements for medical treatment:

• Invitation from the Ukrainian medical treatment facility.
• The invitation should be on letterhead, stamped and signed, as well as state full name of the applicant, term, and purpose of medical treatment.

Additional Requirements for Children under 18:

• Unabridged birth certificate.
• If the child is traveling alone: certified parental consent by both parents.
• If the child travels with only one parent, the other parent must produce the notarized/certified consent.
• If only one parent has guardianship of a minor, the relevant court documents must be presented.

For transit visas:

• Documents 1-2 to be submitted in the original PLUS extra copy.
• The visa of the final country of destination (if needed) must be obtained before applying for a Ukraine visa.
• Airline/train/bus ticket to the final country of destination.

Additional documents may be requested by the consular official. These might include, but are not limited to, the following:
