Requirements                             

• Fully completed Immigration Visa application form (Click here)
• Certified copies of applicants Passport pages
• Certified copy of South African Visa / Permit Refugee certificate
• Two recent colour Photo’s
• Covering letter from the host
• Cover letter from the applicant (If traveling by road to Botswana state that in the cover letter, and if not staying in a hotel/lodge state the physical/residential address )
• a Certified copy of hosts National Identity/Residence  & Work permit/exemption certificate
• Certified copies of trade license, Certificate of incorporation, Share Certificate of the host if operating a business (Except for tourist)
• If previously applied for a Visa, please attached a copy of the outcome
•  Employment / Business – Relevant information / documents is required
  • Offer / Invitation letter, Contract & Confirmation of employment including relevant qualifications
• Travel schedule/flight itinerary/bookings

Additional Requirements

Visitors less than 3 months

• Sworn statement/affidavit from the host (Personal Appearance of the host for Oath at Police Station / Immigration Office
• A Copy of hotel/lodge bookings or residential address of the host
• Copies of Marriage/Birth certificates (Spouse dependents)
• Certified copies of ordinary certificates for Religious leaders
• Return Visa or Residence permit from the country of residence
• Copies of admission letters and/or study permit for children of residence schooling outside Botswana

Business Visa

• Business profile if coming to establish business
• Labour exemption certificate if coming for a month or more
• Meeting schedule (If coming to attend or organize a meeting)
• Confirmation of Employment outside Botswana

Important Note

• No Visas are required by South African Passport holders for a stay of up to 90 days. Passengers are to be in possession of a valid passport (with 2 blank pages) and sufficient funds to facilitate their stay.
• If traveling to Botswana from areas infected with Yellow Fever, you must have a valid Yellow Fever Certificate.
• No visitors are allowed to work or seek employment
