General Requirements

  • The application form needs to be signed.
  • An incomplete application form will be rejected.
  • Application form for minors must be signed by both parents.
  • The application form must be done online
• Photos
  • 3 passport size photos in colour.
• Passport
  • Passport needs to be valid for more than 6 months after return to South Africa.
• Ticket
  • Proof of an onward/return ticket
• Letter of employment
  • Stating when the applicant started and salary.
  • Stating leave days.
  • Stating the reason for travel.
• Proof of accommodation
• Sufficient funds
  • Latest 3 Months stamped bank statements

Additional Requirements for Business Visa

• Letter of invitation
  • Letter from the company being visited stating reason and duration of the visit.

Important Note

• South African passport holders do not require a visa for tourism and for a stay of 3 months in Colombia.
• Visa applications will be rejected if application forms are not fully completed & signed & are not accompanied by the required documents.
• There is no guarantee that a visa will be issued.
• For organized groups, arrangements should be made well in advance with the relevant issuing authority.
