Requirements 
Tourist Visa Requirements
- Valid Passport, at least 6 months validity from date of return.
- Application form, completed. (Click here)
- Two colour passport size photos.
- Itinerary and copy of air ticket.
- 3 Months latest stamped bank statements
- Hotel booking confirmation
- Certified copy of Passport
- Non-South African Passport holders require a valid residential status or work permit for South Africa
- Yellow fever certificate
- Employment letter stating the reason for travel and leave dates
Additional Requirements for Minors under 18 years old
- Certified parental consent, by both parents for children under 18 traveling alone. If the child travels with only one parent, the other parent must produce a certified consent.
- The unabridged birth certificate must be submitted to identify the parents of the child.
Business Visa Requirements
- Valid Passport, at least 6 months validity from date of return.

- Letter of employment from South African company stating the reason for travel
- Letter of invitation from the company in Egypt stating the reason for travel.
- Itinerary and copy of air ticket.
- Hotel booking confirmation
- Certified copy of Passport
- 3 Months latest stamped bank statements
- Non-South African Passport holders require a valid residential status or work permit for South Africa
- Yellow fever certificate
Important Note
- All foreign passport holders applying for an Egypt visa in South Africa must have one of the following permits for South Africa. Work permit, holiday visa, business visa, temporary residence visa, permanent residence permit
- All Travellers of all nationalities only require a visa if they remain in Egypt for a period longer than 6 hours and if they wish to leave the airport (i.e go through immigration/passport control)
- Visas are required by South African, British and all other Passport holders, whether traveling as a tourist or for business
