General Requirements

  • The application form needs to be signed.
  • An incomplete application form will be rejected.
  • Application form for minors must be signed by both parents.
• Photos
  • 1 passport size photo in colour. (Biometric)
• Passport
  • Passport needs to be valid for more than 6 months after return to South Africa.
  • Passport needs to have at least 2 empty visa pages.
• Ticket
  • Proof of an onward/return ticket
• Proof of accommodation

Additional Requirements for Business Visa

• Letter of employment
  • The letter must state the reason and duration of the visit.
• Letter of invitation If Business
  • Letter from the company being visited stating reason and duration of the visit.

Important Note

• Multiple Entry Visas cannot be guaranteed.
• South African passport holders are visa exempted for a stay up to 30 days.
• The Embassy of the People’s Republic of South Africa accepts an application by foreigners for entry visas to HKSSAR.
• Those who intend to study, reside permanent work or have training in HKSAR shall apply for entry visas from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in South Africa.
  Visa applications will be rejected if application forms are not fully completed & signed & are not accompanied by the required documents.
• There is no guarantee that a visa will be issued.
• For organized groups, arrangements should be made well in advance with the relevant issuing authority.
