General Requirements

  • Flash Visa Services can assist with online form
  • Print out form after validated with barcode pages and sign form
  • Application form for minors must be signed by both parents.
  • An incomplete application form will be rejected.
  • PDF Form needs to be completed on the computer and validated.
  • Form must first be saved on the computer and then open with Adobe
• Additional family form completed (Download Family Info form)
• Schedule 1 form completed on the computer (Download Schedule 1 Form)
• Photos
  • 2 passport size photo in colour.
• Passport
  • Passport needs to be valid for more than 6 months after return to South Africa.
  • Passport copy must also be submitted
• Itinerary
  • Showing names and dates in and out of Canada.
• Letter of employment
  • Stating when applicant started.
  • Position held.
  • Stating leave days.
  • Stating the reason for travel.
  • Post-secondary students require a letter from the college/university confirming full-time registration, duration of course & the course of study.
  • Scholars traveling outside of official school holidays must provide a letter from the school granting permission to be out of school.
• Proof of accommodation
  • A letter from your host in Canada such as a friend or family member confirming your visit and the duration of your stay.
  • Confirmation from the hotel bookings or cruise bookings.
• Proof of sufficient funds to cover the full period of stay in Canada may be requested

• Letter of invitation If Business
  • Letter from the company being visited stating reason and duration of the visit.

Additional Requirements for Minors under the age of 18

• An original notarized parental consent statement for minor (under 18 years of age)
  • Children traveling unaccompanied by their parents or official guardians.
  • If only one parent is traveling with a child then the other must submit a notarized consent letter signed by a Notary Public.
  • This letter must specify whether a multiple or single entry Temporary Resident Visa is to be issued.
  • We no longer accept certifications by a commissioner of oaths.

• The Issuing Authority requires applicants to present themselves for biometrics ON SUBMISSION. Flash Visa Services will do a quality check of documents you provide,  book the visa appointment and pre-pay the visa for lodgement. A Flash Visa Services representative will meet you and guide you through the visa process on the day of your appointment.
• Once Visa is ready will Flash Visa Services collect the Passport/Visa and deliver back to the Applicant.
• Visas are required by South African Passport holders.
• The applicant will need to meet Flash Visa Services representative at the Visa center on the date of submission
• Visa applications will be rejected if application forms are not fully completed & signed
  & are not accompanied by the required documents.
• There is no guarantee that a visa will be issued.
• For organized groups, arrangements should be made well in advance with relevant issuing
  authority.
• Family information forms must be completed by the principal applicant, spouse and any
  dependants 16 years or over.
• The family information forms are applicable to all study permit, work permit and temporary resident applications.
  A transit visa is required even if not leaving the airport building.
  If you do not meet these criteria, you may be denied admission to Canada.
• It must be understood that entry to Canada is a privilege and not a right.
• The South African Temporary passports, in all forms (ordinary, official and diplomatic)
  are no longer valid for travel to Canada.
• Persons convicted of a criminal offense in SA should obtain an SA police clearance
  certificate and submit a written account of the circumstances of the crime.
• The High Commission reserves the right to require other documentation in support of an application.
• Persons visiting Canada for more than 6 months must pass a medical examination by a Canadian designated Medical Practitioner. Medical processing takes about 6-8 weeks.
