General Requirements
- Application form (INZ1017) (Click here)
A duly completed Visitor visa application (INZ1017) form. If traveling as a family you may include the spouse or your children on your one application form - Passport
Your current original passport with at least 4 blank pages and valid for at least 6 months from the date of return from travel - Passport Photos
Two recent color passport sized photos. Photos length 4.5cm width 3.5cm - Flight itinerary
Provisional flight itinerary. DO NOT pay for flights until the visa has been granted. - Accommodation
Proof of provisional hotel bookings (Non paid) and if staying in private accomodation please provide proof from the host including utility bill of property and hosts ID or passport copy - Sponsorship form (INZ1025)* if applicable (Click here)
If you are being sponsored by an individual, government agency, or organization, you may also need to provide a ‘Sponsorship Form for Temporary Entry. - Invitation letter (if applicable)
Detailed invitation letter from the host in New Zealand with full contact details or inviter and a copy of proof of residence and copy of New Zealand ID or passport information page plus New Zealand permit if applicable - Employment or School letter
Detailed official employment letter stating your current employment status and intended leave or travel details and that applicant will be returning to duty after travels. If the student, please provide an official detailed letter from school confirming registration and attendance of the applicant - Traveling with Partner or dependants
Documentary evidence of relationships i.e. certified copy of Marriage certificate or other evidence of shared accomodation. In case of the children-certified copy of their full unabridged birth certificates (i.e. reflecting names of both parents) - Police Clearance (*stay of more than 24months)
If visiting New Zealand for 24 months or longer, including the time that you have already spent in New Zealand, you must provide police clearance certificates from all countries of citizenships and all countries that you have lived in for more than 5 years since the age of 17 years. - Investments and other financial interests
Evidence of personal or financial commitments such as Stocks, Shares and Property investments may aid in proving that traveler is a bona fide applicant with a genuine purpose for visiting New Zealand. - Sufficient funds
Recent 3 months bank statements stamped by the bank balance reflecting sufficient funds (i.e. NZ$1000 per month in NZ) or 3 months Credit card statements and limits. or a completed sponsorship form for temporary entry (INZ1025) - Medical Certificates
For a stay of less than 6 months, no medical certificate required. For a stay of more than 6 months to 12 months, a Chest X-ray certificate required. For a stay of more than 12 months a medical certificate and chest X-ray certificate required. TESTS TO BE DONE BY INZ APPOINTED PANEL DOCTOR ONLY
Additional Requirements for Business Visa
- Invitation letter
Detailed invitation letter from the company in New Zealand stating the reason and duration of travel
Important note
- South African Passport holders do require a Visa for New Zealand
- Flash Visa Services can assist with receiving documents for lodgement, verifying information, submitting an application and sending back passport to the applicant once the visa is in processing. The visa outcome is then received electronically as a grant notification that the applicant prints and takes along when traveling.
