Requirements                           

General Requirements

• Valid passport (6 months)
• Acceptance letter from Libya
  • Please note that this is very important. If there is no acceptance letter, the visa will not be processed.
• Translation of the passport into Arabic
• Application form completed fully (Click here)
• 2 passport size photos (colour)
• Copy of the air ticket or itinerary from Travel Agent
• Letter from the employer in SA indicating reasons for travel as well as stating their period of employment, nature of the business and exact dates of the leave.

Additional Requirements for Tourist Visa

• Tourist visa: Pax to contact Travel Agency in Libya for the arrangement of acceptance letter from Authorities there.

Additional Requirements for Business Visa

• Business visa: Letter of invitation from the company in Libya. Fax copies are accepted.

Important Note

• Anyone who wants to transit throw Libya needs to have a copy of their passport that is translated into Arabic.
• South African passport holders require a visa to enter Libya.
• If the visa is for holiday, the traveler must contact one of the travel agencies in Libya for the approval letter.
• If the trip is for business, the client’s company in Libya will have to organize the approval letter.
